Description

Magnesium is an essential mineral required by the body. Magnesium is a catalyst in enzyme activity and assists calcium and potassium uptake. Magnesium is required for the transmission of nerve and muscle impulses. Deficiency may cause symptoms such as insomnia, poor digestion and irritability.

Active Ingredients

Magnesium amino acid chelate 500 mg
Equiv to: Magnesium 100mg
Pyridoxine hydrochloride (B6) 25 mg

Non Active Ingredients

Carnauba Wax, Cellulose Microcrystalline, Crospovidone, Hypromellose, Macrogol 400, Magnesium Stearate, Povidone, Silica Colloidal Anhydrous.

Additional Information

No added sugar, salt, yeast, gluten, starch, wheat, corn, milk derivatives, preservatives, artificial colours and sweeteners.

Recommended Daily Dosage for Adults

Take one or two tablets daily prior to food or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.

Medicine Interactions

Magnesium and Vitamin B6 may affect the way some prescription medicines work. Please consult your healthcare practitioner.

TETRACYCLINE'S – Magnesium may decrease the absorption and efficacy of tetracycline antibiotics. Separate doses by at least 2 hours.

FLUROQUINOLONES – Magnesium may decrease the absorption and efficacy of fluoroquinolone antibiotics. Separate doses by at least 2 hours.

AMIODARONE – Pyridoxine may increase the risk of drug-induced photosensitivity – caution with patients taking pyridoxine and amiodarone concurrently.

PHENOBARBITAL, PHENYTOIN – Vitamin B 6 supplements may lower plasma levels and efficacy of these drugs – consult your doctor or pharmacist before use.

Warnings and Cautions

WARNING: This medicine contains pyridoxine hydrochloride which may be dangerous when used in large amounts or for a long time.

WARNING: Stop taking this medication if you experience tingling, burning or numbness and see your healthcare practitioner as soon as possible. Contains B6.

If symptoms persist consult your healthcare practitioner.

Vitamin, mineral, and herbal supplements are not intended to replace a balanced diet.
